At Manage Comics, we recognize the importance of protecting our customers’ personal data. We strive to ensure that all personal data is collected, stored and handled with utmost security. This Data Protection Agreement explains how we collect, store and handle customers’ personal data in a responsible and secure manner.
What Data Do We Process?
Manage Comics 2 Subscriptions collects personal data when a customer subscribes or pre-orders products through the Manage Comics service on a website using our service.
We collect first name, last name, email address and the unique ShopifyID of the customer.
All customer information is securely stored in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
We use customer data to ensure that subscriptions and pre-orders are reserved to a specific account, to process orders, to communicate with customers regarding their orders and provide customer service. Personal data will never be sold or shared with third parties without the express consent of the customer.
Customers can opt out of subscriptions by requesting their account be disabled within Manage Comics. Disabled accounts have their information removed.
Understanding your personal data
Manage Comics 2 Subscriptions receives your personal data from Shopify. If you change the data within your Shopify account, your data will change within our application. Customers may request access to any personal information that we hold about them by contacting us directly. When you remove your account from a store, your details are also removed from Manage Comics.
Sharing your personal data
Manage Comics has not, nor shall we ever engage in selling customer data. Period.
Manage Comics does not use personal data to engage in predictive marketing.
All data is encrypted in transit via PKCS #1 SHA-256 With RSA Encryption through a Comodo SSL certification. Data servers are encrypted using AWS KMS Keys at rest.
All employees of Manage Comics handling customer data are trained on how to securely handle sensitive information and comply with GDPR regulations at all times.
Our IT systems have security measures in place to protect against the loss, misuse or alteration of customer information under our control. Furthermore, access to production data can only be accessed by the CEO and CIO of the company, and all test data is entirely separate from production data and contains dummy emails, and names (based on comic book and movie characters, no relation to anyone living or dead).
Security Incidence Response Policy
Manage Comics has established a Security Incident Response Policy with guidelines and procedures for effectively responding to security incidents related to the services called “Manage Comics Classic” and “Manage Comics 2 Subscriptions”. This policy aims to minimize the impact of security incidents, protect customer data, and ensure the integrity and availability of the Manage Comics service. Changes to our Data Protection Agreement
We reserve the right, at Our sole discretion, to modify or replace this data protection agreement at any time. If a revision is material We will make reasonable efforts to provide at least 30 days’ notice prior to any new agreements taking effect. What constitutes a material change will be determined at Our sole discretion.
By continuing to access or use Our Service after those revisions become effective, You agree to be bound by the revised agreement. If You do not agree to the new agreement, in whole or in part, please stop using the website and the Service.
